TransCités (since 2013)

Context
On the occasion of the European Year of Citizenship (2013), the iriv together with the Assfam have offered the project Trans-Cité. It is designed to enhance an active citizenship amog youngsters and women living in sensitive areas (suburb aroung big cities) in Ile de France in making them work together to enhance their social and professional integration. This project was supported by the Regional Council in Ile de France in the framework of the regional support to favour civic and democratic participation in Ile de France.

Public
Youngsters living in sensitive urban areas where the rate of early school leaving (ESL) is high. n France the proposition would be of 13.1% in 2007.
Female migrants suffering from 3 discriminations : linked to their gender, to their origin and to their location of living. Too many female migrants are only dedicated to domestic tasks and don't feel strong enough to play an active role outside their household.
